Notes from the Zia Pina table

Short reads about the food, room, and George Street setting behind a casual Italian meal in The Rocks.

Visit

A casual meal before or after The Rocks

Lunch, dinner, takeaway and outdoor seating make the restaurant a practical stop while exploring The Rocks.

Our George Street address makes Zia Pina a simple stop around a Rocks walk, Circular Quay plans, or a relaxed evening nearby. Dine in, book ahead, ask about takeaway, or settle into the footpath tables when Sydney gives us the weather.

Menu notes

Pizza, antipasti and the easy start to dinner

The menu begins with bread and antipasti before moving into the pizza list guests know us for.

Start with bruschetta, cured Italian-style plates, or garlic prawns with a bread roll, then move to pizza choices such as Margherita, Capricciosa, Pepperoni, Vegetarian, Parma, Bufala and Quattro Formaggi. It is a familiar Italian sequence built for sharing at lunch or dinner.

The Rocks

A George Street trattoria with a long memory

Our corner of George Street carries the feel of an old Sydney Italian dining room: brick, timber, menu boards and a steady stream of locals and visitors.

Zia Pina Pizzeria has been part of The Rocks dining landscape since 1976. We keep the experience direct and familiar: a warm room, a classic Italian menu, footpath tables when the day suits, and a location close to Circular Quay and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
